Our history

The activity borns in the second half of the 19th Century, with an orthopedic shop just beside the old City Hospital.
After WWI the owner Stefano Galvanoni develops a significant experience in artificial limbs and prosthesis manifacture.

In 1927 Mrs Clotilde Mangili, future mother of Carlo Bianchi, begins her activity in the shop as a corset maker.
At that time the shop already supplied the local hospital with some surgical instruments imported directly from Germany.

In 1938 Luigi Bianchi (1st generation) buys the activity from Mr Galvanoni and in 1939 marries Clotilde Mangili.

In 1958 Carlo Bianchi begins his experience in the family shop.

In 1967Carlo Bianchi takes over Luigi and in a short time gains an important distributorship with Ethicon (company of Johnson & Jonhson Group). The beginning of this relationship has been fundamental to the developement of the company business.

In the early 80's In the early 80’s, as the business was rapidly evolving, Bianchi hires the first sales agents.

In 1994 Bianchi gains the distributorship with Karl Storz. This business during the years will develop so much that Karl Storz Catalogue will become the most important one in Bianchi’s Portfolio.

In 2010 Bianchi creates the service division. The company board is higly convinced that this decision is very strategic to the business developement.

In 2013 Bianchi starts the distribution, for Lombardia Region, of Touchstone surgical staplers. Today we cover Lombardia, Emilia, Toscana and Liguria.
